By the way, I've just noticed something. On the lips of those flowers, there are some spots that appear to be pressed in and damaged by something.

I have Oncidium Heaven Scent "Redolence" in bloom right now and they have that same spotting on their lip. The lips are pure white but those spots are almost clear. no bugs. just strange thing!

What a beautiful color!! Thanks for sharing your pics...only now I want one, too!
Hope my Wilsonara will bloom as reliably for me. I have two new growths coming on, but it will be a while before I can expect spikes, let alone blooms. Well, at least I got to enjoy yours today.

in bloom again. The colour appears a darker shade of red/maroon- maybe because its been outside for a while ?

Temperature and light can really affect the flower color a lot.

Many of my orchid flowers bloom lighter in color during the summer time and darker during the cooler season.
I think orchids that prefer cooler temperature show this.

My tropical dendrobium does exactly the opposite. They are lighter in the winter bloom but the new blooms at the moment in the heat of summer are much darker pink/red.
