What a mess! When I was searching for information about this plant I had the pleasure to find that there are a thousand of stories about her.
Apparently, this Oncidium was found in nature by Felicio Baldim, Jundiai, SP, Brazil, in the 60s. But before that, in 1898, it was described by Rolfe as Oncidium varicosum. As if that were not enough, in 1906, it was classified by Linden with the name moortebeekiense. Some people say that this species is almost extinct in the wild.
