Hi everyone

Just picked up these very fragrant orchids today for $16

These were the only ones with very swiveled up pseudobulbs, but the workers agreed and said that they just needed a good watering (they were a new shippment) and I trust this place, as it is a pretty good tropical plant nursery.

Otherwise they looks decent, the leafs have some bad spots (chunks missing or a few black spots on the ones tip) but some TLC should clear everything up

These things are fragrant enough to make half the kitchen and front room smell like flowers, which wouldn't be bad if I wasn't allergic to pollen

They also had some other orchids that looked exactly like these, just not fragrant and the flowers were swirling, speckled, and completely beautiful.

Nice!

Don't be tempted to over-water trying to get the pbulbs to plump up. I don't expect they will, or only slightly. But, they have been supporting the plant while it's been either too dry, or roots rotted from over-watering - that's their job. With proper watering, new growth should be fine.
