New Miltoniopsis!
Default New Miltoniopsis!

I went flowershopping this morning as I haven't been out for a while and wanted to see what's around.

Miltoniopsis were everywhere! I picked one up, the same one I already have, but mine looks color bleached now.
so I got a nice new one.

Then I stopped by TJ. They had lots of milts as well although most looked like they didn't survive the long trip from California. too bad as many were pretty but all badly bruised and stuff.

I did find two very floriferous and not too damaged milts of the same kind (well, judging by the appearance), but super cheap. Without my thinking for one second, they both hopped in my cart and now in my apartment.

As I always do, I put them on the floor and think about what to do.
I decided to put two in an orchid deco pot and the other one in a small pot.
I moved them around and finally found a spot on the kitchen countertop.
I don't detect any scent yet although these are all fully open. maybe still recovering from the trip.
I love these plants. so fancy and cheery!

One of the pbs have this weird mechanicl damage mark I've never seen before on anything.
It looks like a giant fingerprint or stamp of some sort.
The black portion is all indented. oh, well. I don't really see it anymore after I wrap around the whole set up with a sheet of green paper.

Don't be harsh with my poor decorating and enjoy the beautiful flowers!

Where I live, one must order all orchids online or travel at least 35 minutes to select among the half-dead noid phals. Sigh. I guess that is why I get so excited for the spring orchid shows (even if the closest is 45min trip).

Beautiful flowers by the way! I ordered one but it had a bit of brown upon arrival and was dead in two days. I am afraid to try again.
