A new Tolumnia... Male
Default A new Tolumnia...

New for me, at least. This is a named and awarded cultivar... But I must now list it as a NOID because the tag has gone missing. I believe its in the rental car when I was in Florida the last time. Sigh. So if anyone knows the name, I'd love to know.

The front is full of yellow and the yellow is overlaid with a pink blush... Loads of crystals you often see on flowers. But s the back that is crazy beautiful....

It's a big Tolumnia... Stand in excess of six inches, and spike is maybe twice that.

The flowers aren't fully open yet but I have to get photos when I have the time and I did last night! Lol

Maybe you could call the place where you bought it and they can tell you what it is.

Too bad about the name tag. The flowers have great colors.

It amazes me how different these flowers can look over time.

They're now nearly pure white but with heavy red and pink spotting on the upper petals and on the back of those petals with some color on the lip.

Pardon the stripping... Photo taken under lamps.

I love the color combo when they first opened.
How quick did this color change occur??

Mines all get bleached out as the blooms near the end of their lives as is probably the case with many other orchid flowers.

I'm enjoying my Pink tolumnias at the moment.

Mine bleach out too but this one turned to this color maybe four days after opening. Sometimes I have ones that bloom a near solid color and a few days later the color changes and spots appear. You never know what you'll get with these guys.

Here's leopard... Nice yellow with many brown spots.
