Do you have any advice on the situation, since you're experienced with this hybrid of oncidiums?

well, if you are being very careful trying not to disturb the roots too much, it COULD be alright and the blooms would not be affected. but there's no guaruntee.
How bad is it? If the drainage is pretty bad, the roots will rot in no time and you might end up losing the plant.
What is it potted in by the way?
The only orchids I have hard time with drainage issue are phals that are potted in very tight mass of moss.
What I do with those is that I water just enough to keep the moss moist. It is pretty easy to see how dry or wet the moss is because most of these phals are in clear plastic containers.
In between watering, I would mist the exposed roots daily.
Once flowers fade, I repot them into more open mix.
I hope this helps.
