NOID Onc/Odm bloom - Can you identify? Female
Default NOID Onc/Odm bloom - Can you identify?

I bought this one at Trader Joe's about 1 year ago in bloom. So this is it's first full blooming cycle in my care. There was another spike from a different pbulb, but I managed to break it off and now it is starting another one.

I think it could be Massai Red (trade name), but was wandering if anyone could identify it (though I realize it will be a NOID forever, since you can never be sure ...)

The spike has 12 buds on it, and this is the first one to open. The sepals/petals have a hint of orange in them and the lip has a lot of magenta in it, which doesn't come thru in the photo very well.

They never seem to have such nice ones at Trader Joe's here any longer, while I like Phalaenopsis, I'd love to see something else for a change. I don't know what you have, but it is so beautiful, and looks the picture of health.

Thanks Ron. I find I have to get watch for the non-phals at TJ's, and need to look for healthy plants among the many barely hanging on ones . Thanks for looking.

Thanks! I do see the resemblance to Royal Robe too. I looked at pictures in OrchidWiz and the flowers and the spike "pattern" are very similar.
