I came back from my holiday break to find this one in full bloom. Spike took 7 weeks to mature. 14 deeply purple 1" flowers. Flowers have a very pleasant floral scent, which peaks in the morning, and disappears by night.

I grow it mounted on wood branches with live moss, and water daily. I was worried about losing the flowers during the 2.5 weeks I was away, during which time it went without any watering. However I don't think the orchid suffered at all from the dry spell.

Really pretty! I took the easy way out and put mine in baskets. After seeing yours I'm temped to mount them because they look so natural that way.

That is a great look. What conditions do you grow this one in? With the moss I'm guessing pretty humid?
