Spectacular. If it has a scent, the whole room must be perfumed.

Though my Twinkle is not as beautiful as the one here, I can offer my experiences.

For me it is about the right amount of water. it is really easy to underwater (think little roots....) and if you over water, then it is quite happy to rot overnight. I summer mine outdoors where it gets ample sunshine n the morning and filtered list the rest of the day. In my experience, it is very sensitive to over potting.

The inflorescence are just visible in about July and then blooms open in October or November. I usually get a spike from each side of each new bpulbs.

Smile Cultural Tip

This plant is potted into 8" plastic net/basket. I keep this plant outside the greenhouse in the summer and received water everyday except when its rain. I do not underwater this plant because if you do, the leaves will turn to accordion shape. Root rot is not a problem because of plastic net/basket, it will dry quickly before the end of the day. This plant is covered with 60% shade. I fertilize my plants every Saturday using high N formula. Before fall season, I will give them bloom booster (P=50) to help them bloom better in the winter. I reduce the watering to twice a week and stop the fertilizer. The lighting of my greenhouse is being supplimented by 4 HID (2-400w MH & 2-400w HPS) and a strip of blue high intensity LED lights. Temperature during winter is around 75 degrees F daytime and 60 degrees F at night.

Thank you for all the comments

Wow~ this is probably the best twinkle show I've ever seen! I was happy 20 spikes, but that's quite something I have to say!

Now I'm inspired to never devide my twinkle and grow to your size.

What is yours planted in by the way? I do not let my plants go so big because I'm so worried that the center will rot.

Thanks in advance!

Default Twinkle pot

This Oncidium was planted into a 50/50 mix of bark & charcoal on 8" plastic net/basket. This make the plant appears to be hanging in the air. If you water it in the morning, it dries quickly by midday. Just make sure you have air circulation in the area. IN case that you use plastic or ceramic pot, then I suggest to water it every other day and spray RD-20 or Physan once a week. Thank you for the comments.
