Great Thanksgiving colors and a wonderful, very strong fragrance. These used to be called Mule Ear Oncidiums. This is the second spike to bloom. The first one faded before the second bloomed and a third spike is in bud now.
Love these guys! Do you know if this is a primary hybrid - and if so of what? It looks like their could be some Onc. stacyi in the background - yet it still has the standard foliage.
If you ever decide to divide this, I'd love to trade something or other for a piece! :hehe:

It has three species in it's background Trt. splendidum, Trt. lanceanum and Trt. luridum
Ahh ok! I can see it now. I've owned and sold all three at some-point. I've never had much luck blooming (maybe im just too impatient) the trichocentrums. - So I stick to my Psychopsis and similar oncidiums. Though now you've got me wanting to give them another shot. Hmm.
