Tolumnias spiking! Female

My tolumnia's spike seems to have stalled. It hasn't grown for the last month, but it doesn't help that almost 2 weeks ago my cat tried to eat it, so the spike now has a divet in it about an inch and a half from the top. The spike is a total of maybe 8 inches right now and isn't drying up, so I have no idea what it is going to do! With the colder temps and more central heat running, I have been misting it every day and watering it twice a week.
