Default Onc. Sharry Monster ... er, Sharry BABY 'Sweet Fragrance'

This spent about nine months in the 7" pot -I put it in this 10" pot late spring this year (I don't expect this pot to hold it very long). I got this a little over three years ago in a 4" pot...

Spotty and rough looking (grows outdoors year-round, except for the very coldest winter nights, which it spends in the un-insulated garage, always sheltered from the winter elements), but a very robust grower, and reliable bloomer. And of course, the powerful Sharry Baby fragrance

One spike with around 80 blooms, plus another spike a couple of months behind in developement.

The last couple of years, it bloomed later in the year, and the lips were purpley - I guess from the buds developing in lower temps.

Thanks for looking

That is certainly on the road to a fine specimen plant.

I have read different things about the spotting. Some said virus but testing disproved that. Others said it was from heat and other reports was it was too much cold. Now I think that the consensus is that it is just inherent.

Wonderful! Such a happy looking plant

Mine spots on the leaves as well. I get the impression it's just inherent.

One of my favorites. Yours looks fabulous! Mine is spiked, but not blooming. I lost one spike - it snapped off when I moved it inside...

I love these specimen-size plants. You are fortunate to have the space. Maybe I should get a greenhouse !

Thanks everyone

I'm glad this has been ok growing outdoors year-round, or it surely would have been divided a couple times already I just don't know if I can let it get any bigger - don't know where I'd find a suitable pot for it - guess I can start looking around a bit.

The spotting is all on old foliage - most look like they're getting ready to die, tho I suppose there's a good possibility that some more older foliage will spot

It's really amazing to me, the rate at which this grows!
