This species has been moved to its own genus all alone, Ornithophora. Ornithophora and Sigmatostalix are part of the Oncidium alliance. There are just a few hybrids registered. I bet Ornithocidium Marie (Onc. ornithorhynchum x Orpha. radicans) is a sweet little plant.
When I grew this species I found it to be a real weed, growing and blooming almost constantly whether I put it among the Catts or the Paphs in windows, or in a terrarium with other minis. And I could give away a piece every few months without setting it back at all. I also sometimes noticed a slight fresh pleasant scent, nothing real distinct
