I recently purchased an Oncidium Twinkle 'Snow' that has a few spikes. A few flowers just opened, but for some reason none of them is fragrant. I can't detect any smell at all.
Please excuse me for a newbie's question, but I thought I saw it somewhere that Oncidium Twinkle 'Snow' was supposed to be fragrant. Is there anything I could do to encourage the fragrance?
A few pictures of this orchid are included below. Thanks.
I agree with Pilot. I have a similar one with just a couple open and they don't smell. But I know from last year this will have loads of scent at some point in time!
I agree with the above - can take a few days for the fragrance to kick in - and being quite small blooms, will definitely be stronger when there are quite a few blooms open - also, I believe these will be more fragrant early in the day, with the scent diminishing later in the day
