Oncidium longipes spiking

I bought this little guy in April this year as a young plant which was meant to only reach flowering size in 1-2 years. So imagine my surprise today when I was watering and noticed this little thing poking out! I have this growing alongside my Miltonia spectabilis var moreliana - intermediate temps and high humidity. I believe these like to grow cooler though.

One bud has opened. The form is not brilliant - the sepals and the petals stuck together a little bit and needed a little assistance. I'm guessing it's because this is its first bloom. There is another bud to go, so hopefully that one will be better. It's such a cute little thing though!
