The Brassia I bought at the show at Arenys de Mar (near to Barcelona) has finished blooming the two spikes it had, but she is growing a third spike that will soon bloom. Imthink she has a gentle fragrance some hours a day. What I'm wondering though, is if this growth (or whatever it is) enclosed between two bulbs will be able to grow.
I'm sure that growth will find some space to grow - it will probably end up growing more to the outside, rather than straight up between the other pbulbs
It will grow. I have a Laelia sincorana that grew a growth in between two bulbs and this is how it turned out.
I know it's not the same genus but they find a way to grow!
Last update on my brassia. The third spike is almost completely in bloom now. Indon't stalk it. I love seeing how it archs naturally and see all these "spiders" along the spike. The two new growths have also grown quite a lot since I have it.
Any idea on it's ID. Not that it matters, but if anyone knows an ID I'd appreciate it.

It sure has grown. It turned out to be two new growths, so in all I've got 5 new growths on it.
