Default Mini Oncidium is flowering

Woo hoo! My miniature Oncidium (var. Jairaj Rainbow Freckle Face) is flowering. It is on a east-facing windowsill. I don't do much aside from water it every couple of weeks or so, and open the window when it's warm outside. I guess it must be happy!

Thank you! It is lovely. I am delighted by this little beauty.

Ah, so it is a Tolumnia. I investigated and found "Tolumnia Rafinesque, is a genus in the family Orchidaceae. Previously known as the "equitant Oncidiums," the species were segregated from the mega-genus Oncidium by Guido Braem in 1986. The plants are small, usually epiphytic, with small or absent pseudobulbs completely covered by leaves, which are triangular or circular in cross section and overlap each other at base to resemble a fan."

Lovely, Tolumnia's are one of my favorites. Would fill a whole hanging wall if I could!

How are you growing yours? Mounted /potted?? Can you show us some pics?

Beautiful! I have been growing my collection of these this past year...have yet to rebloom them but I'm hoping a summer outside will do the trick! Loads of tolumnia fans here!

Fantastic color contrast there. It looks like the name should be Jairak Rainbow 'Freckle Face'.
