SHE picked it out. I bought a paph farianum. We walked through the whole place repeatedly and every time she saw that one plant she wanted it. Now next time I may blame her for all the ones I shouldn't have bought, but this time I am telling the truth.
It is never too early to start! I'm "indoctrinating" my daughter Isadora since the age of 3! Today she is 6 and also likes to choose what she will take home (which is sometimes dangerous, once she chose a little plant of ~U$ 235.00 - thank goodness I convinced her to take a bigger one, which cost one tenth of that!)
She was the best little girl at the show. Almost no other kids and she didn't act bored, she didn't get fussy or try to get into the displays. She kept her hands to herself and didn't complain. She picked out one and only one plant. My mother in law hates how many plants I have, but I really didn't care what she said to me. My little girl was bringing home her plant!
