thanks, you need to write a care sheet for us.
I have 3 p-bulbs and 1 new growth. Can you split the p-bulbs to encourage more growth ?

Camille- I have the same issue with regard to the winter cooling. I have three pots of dendrobium nobiles at a friend's unheated but protected balcony, but I don't think I could add more.
Lovely kingianum might just have to go after flowers are gone.

Neal- Thank you for the care tips on miltoniopsis. I heard they are cool grower, but you mentioned up 80. so I guess I'm fine. I'll keep it as a practice and see how it does for me.
Kingianum should do super duper well in Bay area!

I wouldn't split it at that size, the general rule is 2 big bulbs and a growth or three smaller bulbs and a growth per division. Miltoniopsis will usually divide themselves once the plant is big enough.

BTW, the whole warm vs cool Miltonia thing was started to differentiate between what is now Miltoniopsis and the true Miltonias (spectabilis and that group). Pansy Miltonias (Miltoniopsis) will not take nearly as much light or heat as true Miltonias, they were therefor called cool Miltonias - based on upper temperature range and light conditions. They are not, strictly speaking, cool growers, their optimum temperature range is 60-70F all year long.

Gorgeous Miltoniopsis! I tried one once and failed it miserably. I may have to try again because those flowers are simply stunning. And I may have to try my hand at a Kingianum. The two you picked up are gorgeous! Look at all those flowers!

Yeah, they are beautiful.

I am dumping them out once flowers are gone though. I just cannot provide the culture they require.
It is still great to have them for a while in bloom.

Dump them at my house. I will gladly care for them.
