Onciduim Twinkle not a mini? Female
Question Onciduim Twinkle not a mini?

In reading a few posts on this forum it sounds to me like maybe Onc. Twinkle isn't a miniature. A member posted that Twinkle gets bigger and bigger with each bloom (?) but I had purchased mine from a dealer that listed it as a miniature. It is in bloom still, and tiny. It's a white fragrant one, and stands about 8" tall or so. Anyone know the answer here?

Twinkle is considered a mini and probably will not grow any taller than 8-10". It will, with bulb growth get to be a wide plant.

Well...

Onc Twinkle 'Fragrance Fantasy' isn't exactly a giant either.

Depending on who you talk to, Onc Twinkle can be regarded as a mini comparatively speaking. There are much smaller species or hybrids.

Some people just call it a small sized compact Onc.

It usually won't get much larger than 6" without the flower spike. 8" - 10" may be the absolute largest (at least the plant I had never really got to be 10").

They should still do nicely for a person with limited bench space.

Compared to other Oncs, it can be considered a mini, although I agree with Philip that 'compact grower' may be a better word for it.
