Yes, you can pot it. I find that osmunda fiber or tree fern and clay pots work well for me, although I grow most of mine mounted (hard to find osmunda these days). Whatever you use has to be open with lots of air movement, and you should use the smallest pot you possibly can.

I've seen them grown well in straight charcoal chunks, too.

Thats for this great info. Does charcoal stay moist for several days? Basically, my question is how often do you have to water charcoal on avg.

Don't really know, I don't grow them that way myself. I've seen it done though. Probably twice a week, I'd guess. Depends on how dry the house is.
