It is definitely sun "cooked"
I found that when you expose an orchid to higher than needed light (as long as you don't burn it badly), leaves may look rather bad, but the flower counts go up.
I had my oncidium by the south window during summer. By late July, I noticed the leaves were turning yellow green. It was dark green before.
Once I moved it indoor and grew under the halogen light, the yellowing got better and now it is light green.
Five new growth has fat pbs and each has two flower spikes growing out of them. Yay!!!
