Default Oncidium hyphaematicum

This is great Oncidium species that blooms for what seems like forever on an inflorescene that is nearly 4 feet tall.

I just boxed it up getting ready for my Orchid Society Show over the weekend, it's not fully open yet but I'm sure that it will be fine by Saturday. I will take some pictures when it has more open flowers, hopefully during the Show.

One of my favorites, too.

I have one with two spikes in the GH. One is 4' with no sign of forming buds yet, the other only a foot.

That is one of the draw backs of this particular species, the spike takes forever to form and flower. Mine has been hanging in a tree all summer long, I first noticed the spikes starting sometime in early spring but for me it is worth the wait.
