I love this Miltonia species, most people are wowed by spectabile, for me the quiet, understated elegance of clowesii is much more pleasing.

Glen, that is a very exotic bloom...it reminds me of an ocelot and jungle prints and ices and candies in Coney Island...

Bud-

Your imaginative descriptions crack me up, I would love to spend just even an hour in your head to see what makes you tick. Strange thing is I totally understood where you were coming from with the analogy.

Whoaweehaa !!! Or something unspellable like that ! The ONLY reason I snuck a peek was because it was your thread, Glen, as I DON'T like Oncs or their relatives USUALLY !! It all has to do with how floofy the dancing lady types appear, IMHO !!! Then, of course, you WOULD put some kind of KNOCKOUT-DRAGDOWN-GORGEOUS Onc relative like this on a thread !!!! You know what ?? It's the SPECIES !!!! My mentor has done the same thing to me and now I remember that his knockout was ALSO a species !!! Totally different from the hybrid stereotypes ! Anyhow,

That is a SPECTACULAR chid you've got there, Glen !!!

Glad that you guys like it. Chryss, when I stop laughing I will think of something witty to say but for now all I will say is that there is something very special about the species that keeps dragging me back and reminding me why I grow orchids at all.

It is really lovely and I like the contrast between the white lip and the darker colours

It's gorgeous! I think it's one of my favorite Milts. The university in a nearby city has one in their orchid greenhouse, and it's such a stunning orchid in person, I don't think photos do it justice!
