I also thought I was getting a Milt specabilis var moreliana when I bought one 2 years ago. It bloomed and turned out to be something else, although similar. No clue what it is but the fragrance is amazing.
How did you manage get the correct ID on yours? Did the grower know about the mistake?

I would be interested what is different to moreliana. I don't know the flower in detail but it looked just like my memory of seeing pictures of one before.

It's a gorgeous flower whatever it is, just interested to know the difference

moreliana has a much paler colored lip agiasnt which the darker veining shows up very well. But I can imagine that there is a lot of confusion between all these similar ones.

This is my Noid. The lip is moreliana, but the spotting not.

My Noid never rebloomed.... Must need more light I guess, and it also looks virused.
