Mule ear oncidium..............
These won't win any beauty contests but they are undemanding plants that grow like weeds in south Florida. I don't know how they would do elsewhere. This one was Onc. Maureen x Haematochilium Red. But it's now supposed to be Trichocentrum (Trt.) Maureen x Haematochilium. It has a fragrance that's a little like incense. Very unusual.

Mule ear oncidium
I have two of those getting ready to bloom, finally! The larger one has 15 buds. Thanks for the pic. Now I know what to expect. These plants were bought at Lowe's if I remember correctly.

Tucker, where did you pick yours up? I've had this one in the past, and it was one of my earliest... and it didn't make it. Would love to pick up another Tricho, but haven't been so lucky in finding them.

I'm sorry, I didn't see your question when you posted it. I bought this orchid at a show in Ft. Lauderdale and I don't remember the vendor. You might give Ruben at Ruben in Orchids a call. He may have it or know someone who does.

I have one. I think now is called Trichocentrum Ollie Palmer. Found it months ago at Lowes. Better Gro orchid in a bag. Was a closeout for a dollar or 2. beat up leaves, but is growing new growth. I would check Lowes. sometimes they have some of these.
