Default Miltoniopsis William Hammel 'Rising Sun'

Here is a favourite of mine. It was a small plant last summer and surprisingly sent up a spike with 5 lovely blooms. This spring it grew a new growth that matured quickly but didn't bloom. Instead it grew its own new growth and this has sent out two spikes with 2 buds each. This new growth isn't even mature yet and quite a tight fan so the buds are barely sticking out but they are eager to bloom! The sepals are more yellow this year but I did have it in a slightly cooler location so that may account for it.

This one opens so freely and easily. Not like some that I feel need to be kept very humid to encourage the blooms to open. The other spike has 2 buds that aren't open yet, but will be soon.

sii - it's Miltoniopsis William Hammel 'Rising Sun' a cross of (Miltoniopsis Ambre X Miltoniopsis Linda Marie Sellon). They are cool growing Miltonias that were separated out into their own genera Miltoniopsis.
