Default Odontocidium Hansueli Isler

I got this new orchid last month. Can't take credit for the flowers as I bought it with just one bud left to open but I love it.

Hubby calls it the Ripe Banana orchid, but I'm not sure I like that name.

This flower is a bit of a mutant
Two lips, two columns and too many petals and sepals.

The last couple of photos were taken on my older camera. The colour difference is partly that, and partly the lighting difference. The yellower colour is what it's like in artificial light, the paler ones are what it looks like in natural light.

Thanks everyone

I loved it when I saw it. They were just putting it out on a shelf as I had thought I had picked up everything I wanted and I just had to get this one more

Thanks Nenella,

Seems I took these photos just in time has the flowers have started browning and will probably drop soon. It was fully open when I bought it so it's not really surprising. Now I've just got to try and rebloom it

Love the colour! Now if we could only find those kind of 'chids here in Canada that are actually ID'd! So far I have found one Cym that had an ID.
