Miltonia Maui Mist 'Golden Gate' in bloom !!!
Hello everybody !!!!  I want to share with you guys one of the blooming orchids right now. It's a beautiful Miltonia that was in bud when it came home and it's open now. I love the blooms on it. |

miltonias are nice indoor orchids. They smell great too!!!
takes a few days but should smell very sweet as I didn't see mention the wonderful scent

Wow, Roly. It's beautiful. You can grow Miltonia in FL? I live in Pacific NW, where the weather is supposed to be perfect for them, but I never tried.

I think that after all my plant might actually be a Miltoniopsis. The flowers are somewhat similar to my Miltonia spectabilis but somewhat more round and the growth habit is different too.

I agree, this looks like Miltoniopsis to me from the flower shape. The lip can often be similar to Miltonia but the petals and sepals are rounder on Miltoniopsis and more spikey/star like on Miltonia. |
