I've had this bizarre looking orchid since Ferbuary. It went through bud blast a few months ago. Currently the roots are growing vigorously and a new leaf is being formed. It seems to like the Northwest window a lot.

Any advice on getting it to flower?

According to OrchidWiz:

Light: 2500 to 3000 fc. fairly bright but not direct mid day sun and somewhat filetered.

Temps: Summer days 87f, night 66 to 68F, winter days 80 to 84F, nights 57 to 60F

Humidity: 85% in summer and early fall dropping to 65% in winter and early spring.

Water: Fairly heavy while in active growth. A 2 to 3 month drier period in winter. These do not like wet feet and are often mounted for that reason. They then need frequent misting and watering in warm temps. A 2 or 3 day period of dry before watering in summer to avoid wet feet is suggested. Reduce water after new growths are mature in autumn.

Media: Often grown in pots or baskets with an open fast draining media such as fir bark, often using perlite and charcoal or tree fern fiber. Repot as new growth is starting.

Hopefully that will help. It sounds like it is fairly happy anyways although may be a bit short on light.

IOSPE says this is a fall bloomer, cool to hot growing
lower light -
I don't know anything about footcandles, so hard for me to comment about that - my thought looking at IOSPE would be that a NW window would be ok - like I said tho, I don't know how that translates to FC. Is the foliage floppy, or fairly upright? floppy foliage can be a sign of insufficient light.
IOSPE PHOTOS

even with proper culture, it won't bloom til the new growth is sufficient size - most Oncidiums, thats nearly mature to mature pbulbs
being a fall bloomer, spikes COULD start mid to late summer

It's moved to a West facing window now, hanging from my gecko terrarium. It's grown mounted and upside down (rat tail). The leaves have some flex to them, but they're fairly rigid. It gets misted every day and dries out within a few hours. Gotta go now, I'll try to get some photos later.

I find seedlings are intolerant of lime. Sitting in hard water which evaporates probably killed my last plant. Mature plants tolerate hard water far better. As noted, the roots need to dry completely between watering, although seedlings appreciate a good overnight soak at least twice a week. Mine is now mounted on cork. I have an RO unit which solved the hard water problems. Adult specimens are impressive but take decades to mature. However, this species can flower as seedlings; the fall flowers last a month and smell like buttered popcorn.
