I stopped by Lowe's today and I saw a Tolumnia and I decided to try one out. I know it needs a lot of water, but needs to dry out between waterings. I was thinking about mounting it, but what do you guys think. My other oncidium has had success on a tree fern mount. What else should I know about this plant?
Tolumnias thrive on mounts. I find the real trick to these beauties is water well in morning and they need to dry out by the end of the day. I have mine mounted on cork, bare root. I lost a few that I had put moss on the mount.
There have been many wonderful threads recently about tolumnia. You should do a quick search through the threads on Tolumnia as there is quite a bit of recent information posted on them.
