Each leave is about 12 cm (it almost doesn't have pseudobulbs, they are hidden by the leaves)
So it is small, but due to its vegetative habit it fills more space. A 20 by 20 cm is a good estimate for entire plant (without the flower)
Are you planning to get one?

I'm thinking of getting one. It's beautiful! What have you used as a background while making this photo? I'm still looking for something similar and can't find anything.

I bought a small tent (it was in the section Photo Light Tents) for photography on ebay and with the kit i got a black velvet of some kind. That is it.
I also use photoshop to delete wires or something like that, if necessary.

Hello Tricho,
I was pleased to find your message in the forum. I have a small Trichocentrum tigrinum and am hoping to do well with it. Presently it is in a mix of fine bark, perlite, charcoal and sphag. Do you think this would hold too much moisture? I don't do well with slabs as I'm not able to water often enough. Do you water daily?

Hi gmdiaz, thanks
Shirley,
I would use a clay pot with a very open mix. You can use charcoal, hydroton (or similar) and medium bark (1 part each).
This species comes from hot forests with a dry season. It rains well in summer (growing period), but the rest of the year is much dryer. So, whatever you do you must supply a open media that drains very well and that dries fast. When in grow water frequently, the rest of the year just spray some water on it (don't do it if you think it will not dry in a few hours).

Excellent growing! One can say it by the leaves! Congrats! I never tried any Trichocentrum... Maybe I should start with this species!
BTW, Tricho, have you ever heard about a hybrid between Tricho trigrinum and Oncidium (Trichocentrum) lanceanum?
