Default blooms on milt - Milt. Gerald micheal lawless 'Pacific storm'

Hi guys!

My first milt in it's first blooming period. Second spike also has buds. I hoping the flowers will unfold a bit better the seond time around. I'm unsure on why the petals tend to be slightly tucked back. Humidity is very high and the tempts remain under the 70's.

Anyways here's the flower after 5 days of opening ...

Opps - Looks like the tag got mixed in the wrong milt. Need to clarify the name to
Milt. Gerald micheal lawless 'Pacific storm' and not Milt. woodlands "ebony"

Sorry about the confusion

I'm giving up on mine for first year. I've had it for 4-5 years with success every year till now. Leaves are all folded up (vertical - not pleated) and blossoms never opened fully. Had 10-12 spikes and tons of partly opened blossoms that just wilted and fell. I think humidity or something had to do with it, but I have no patience for orchids that don't perform. Love yours though! Great color.

Haven't noticed one of these in a while. Thanks for sharing, the color is very cool!

Thanks very much ya'll

Helen, It's actually more of a berry red, very deep coloring but I just couldn't capture the right color, had to use the flash.

Ross, 4 to 5 years of success if great, don't let 1 season that blew off get to you, wait til next year to decide. c'mon now

Thanks Dorothy, Tin & Lore - Yap I think i'll keep on with the milts, just love their crazy flowers. No scent on this one tho'.

Gin, I think yours is beautiful, I'll take it off your hands
Besides I have one that looks like that also - waiting for it to pop I'm really curious to see what the other spike on this will look like. Maybe the bends on this one is normal? The photo on the site of clouds orchids site the blossom the same way. I should toss them an email and see what they say.
