interesting... I have been recently looking for information on Tolumnia Hybrids, because I received 8 plants as a present... one ofthe things I have read is that the colour of the flowers could vary drastically depending on temp and time of the year. An example was given of a plant blooming pink one month and few months later blooming in white.. could this be the case here?
Now, another thing I have learned so far, and this confuses me a lot, is that most of those hybrids one can find, e.g. all but 3 of the Genting XXXXX and Jairik Rainbow among many others, are not registered at the RHS... Does anyone knows what these hybrids actually are? Are these names commercial names or clonal names? Or is it that most of the hybrids come from the time when most species were just considered "Oncidium variegatum group" (Note: Tolumnia variagata is a very well defined species and was part of this group in the past) and therefore it is just imposible to know what the crosses are?
