Congrats - one of my all time favorites! If you treat it well, it will bloom non-stop. Mine grows like a weed and has been in bloom for the better part of 2010. While the last flower was still on the spike, it started pushing a new bud out of the same spot behind it - kind of like a multi-floral paph.

Psychs are so cool!

I just love waking up to these. My older one is growing its 5th spike and grows about an inch a day. Meanwhile the other 4 spikes are blossoming all the time. Wonderful plants, everyone should have a least one in their collection!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments!! I love this orchid. If anyone has any tips on keeping her healthy and in bloom I would love to hear them.

Jonada,
I grow my big one in S/H. I've just converted two other's into moss (my favorite growing medium). I have one left to move and I think that will go into moss too. I've had it a couple of years in bark and it isn't growing well. Nothing wrong with it, good roots, etc. Just not growing as fast as the others.
Good luck! Experimenting is fun!
