Mine's in bark too. Growing like a weed - 2 new p-bulbs this year!

The trick for me is to really let it dry out completely between waterings. And not to mist the aerial roots - it really hates that!

Well so far mine doesn't seem to be declining and I water when it starts getting dry and have been misting almost daily. Maybe it is the difference in where we live.
