Beallara, Adaglossum, and others in my windowsill.
Default Beallara, Adaglossum, and others in my windowsill.

I just got a new batch of Oncidium alliance plants to add to the windowsill jungle. I have found most of the care instructions on the net, but it is always helpful to have somebody with actual experience point out any quirks that variety might have.

The plants are...

Beallara; Pashe "Tropical Ice, and Patricia McCully Pacific Matriarch.

Adaglossum Summit "French Town"

Degarmoara Hani "Star of the Unicorn"

Mclra Yellow Star Golden Gambol

Odontocidium Tiger Crow "Golden Girl"

Odontonia papageno "Lavender Lady"

I am treating most of them like my other Oncidiums, not letting them drop below 55 at night, watering about every 5-6 days, fertilize at about 1/3 strength with most waterings. Twice a month, I water without fertilizer, and give them a really good flushing of water.

From my research, the Dgmra, Mclra and the Tropical Ice are warmer than the others? I will probably keep the whole group together and not let the temp drop below 60 at night. It looks like the Bllra, and the Odcdm would want more light then the others? It is kind of hard to tell the individual requirements of the plants, as there are several sources of information with different temp ranges and light ranges for some of them. I took my best guess and averaged them out a bit.

Any of these orchids have really different requirements than I am giving them? Any of them need a different treatment for winter. (I was just going to reduce water and fert as the plants stop growth.) Are they all pretty much Summer bloomers? I already have a Gower Ramsey, and an Oda. Marwill that I haven't killed yet, but I haven't bloomed them either!

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Dave
