Default My Onc Sharry Baby is in flower (another first re-bloom)

Well this flowering of my Onc Sharry Baby 'Sweet Fragrance' (bought in the summer) is on two spikes.

One of those spikes existed when I bought it and so I can't claim full credit (although I did care for it while it grew buds and flowered) but the second spike is all home grown. The second spike is smaller and opened quicker than the first, so it caught up with the first.

I'm not sure this is as bright as the flowers when I bought it, it seems a darker red to me. The fragrance is gorgeous though, a really strong sweet smell.

Beautiful, Rosie. Great job! My Sharry baby has more white than yours and she's blooming now too.

Mine has a lot of white too, it is in bloom.. I love chocolate, so I really glad I added this to my collection. Between Sharry baby and Colmarie which has a orange blossom fragrance, I'm having a sniffing good time.

Seems to be the 'time' for them blooming! mine is too & first time in 2 years I have 2 spikes on a p/bulb. Mine is in S/H now -which works superbly well in my conditions-What are yours planted in?

Stunning, I'm still waiting to see if mine will spike this year or not but yours is definitely putting on a great show this year.

Btw, I love the orchid in your avatar too.

Thanks everyone

Nenella, mine is in bark. I've heard others say they do well in S/H but I'm only just trying S/H on Phals for the first time at the momment so not dared try this one yet.

I have one of these but have had trouble with the leaves pleating; it has 3 new growths and is in a clay pot. I thought about repotting in a plastic pot in seedling bark, can anyone give me any suggestions?

Thanks,
Eddie

Wow...the color on yours is so much darker and richer than mine. There is so much more white on the lip of my Sharry Baby.

Beautiful!

Shann~

For some reason this is just about my only Onc Alliance orchid which does NOT have pleating in the leaves. Not sure why I've got this one right and not the others. I'm still quite scared of all of them.

I grow in plastic but I don't know if that is best or not and it probably depends on your climate.
