Default Oncidium maculatum & Trichocentrum splendidum

Two species native of the Central America. Oncidium maculatum is nicely fragrant.
Trichocentrum splendidum is also known as Oncidium splendidum.

I love them both.

The splendidum reminds me somewhat of my Onc Sweet Sugar, splendidum has a much wider fuller skirt though. Although Onc Sweet Sugar is a name I see a lot it does not appear to be registered though so no idea if they are related.

Beautiful! Especially the maculatum. Although, I can see where splendidum gets its name and it really is!
Great photos as usual! Thanks Mauro.

Beautiful blooms, Mauro. How tall does your splendidum's spike get? Do you let it go through an intermediate-to-cool dormancy during the winter? My plant of this species is just finishing its newest growths. Normally I let it cool off and rest during the winter; however, I've read recently that it prefers warm temperatures year round, so perhaps I'll try to keep it a bit warmer than the cattleyas during the coming winter.

The floral stem gets as high as 45-50 cm, Steve! And yes, my plant goes through a dry and fresh period during the winter.
