I'd love to be able to shoot the plants against the blue sky but 1- I have no idea how to do it 2- my windows would need serious cleaning and 3- I live in the North of England

OK, Blue sky, what is this in England? Is this what I am hearing? Your photos were fine, for info.!

It's been grey and rainy for the last week and the weather forecast's not much better for the next one either *sigh* No blue sky or bright light for the orchids just now.
