Default Psychopsis problems with flowering

Hello,

I have problem with my Psychopsis papilio. I have been cultivating it for about 3 yeras on east window with high temeratures in growing period and about 18-20 C in winter. It grows in keramsit very well, now it has 14 mature pseudobulbs and there appear a few new ones.
But the problem is, that is has no flower spikes ! Could you help me ?
I haven't such problems with Psychopsis Mariposa alba, but this cultivar I bought already with flower spike.

I would consider two things: one is your feeding regimen - too much nitrogen? The other is that you might simply have a plant that does not like to bloom.

Just like children have different attitudes....

I use a common fertilizer for orchids, usually Substral. Using such dedicated for orchids fertilizers may cause such problems ?
About this "difficult clones" - do you know it from your own observations ? If there is any treatment in this case ?

Hi,
I would cut back the fertilizer by half and up the light. Mine enjoy some direct sun in the afternoon (South West window).
To much fert. and not enough light are two of the most common reasons why this species doesn't bloom.
Hope this helps. If you decide to up the light, do it slowly..........
