I just have to show you my lovely psychopsis. It's been taking forever for it to bloom and we had to move appartments while the spike was developing - I was sooo afraid that she'd redecide...
But there she is, my wonderful butterfly

I'm still a newbie and this is a magical moment for me!
Greetings from Bavaria,
Jane

Jane -

What a remarkable flower. I love butterfly orchids - and this one's a real looker.

There's nothing quite like waiting out the SLOW budding process - it really builds anticipation and makes you appreciate the bloom that much more.

Congrats!

-J

That's a really nice flower! I have several Psychopsis hybrids. They develop spikes S-L-O-W-L-Y, but once the first bloom comes they keep coming. One fades and before you know it a new one appears.

Yours is really lovely. Enjoy it!

Congrats Jane on your sucess. It is very lovely.

My Psychopsis Mariposa just flowered and the spike seemed to take forever to grow. The first bud developed very quickly though and I missed getting photos of its opening! Seems that it enjoyed generous waterings at that time.

Good growing JungleJane, so beautiful. Don't cut the spike once it's done blooming. This is a sequential bloomer and will bloom continuously for some time
