I bought this guy in bud a couple of weeks ago at the Tatton Park orchid show. One of the buds blasted but this one has finally revealed itself!

I didn't know what the flower looked like when I bought it so I was pretty impatient for it to open!

I'm growing it in moss which is a bit of a first for me but... nothing ventured nothing gained. It seems to be happy as it has 2 new growths from the current bulbs. So I must be doing something right.

It has a lovely sweet fragrance which isn't particularly strong, but I catch a waft of it when I walk past.

Overall - delighted with my new little addition.

(Please excuse the quality of the pic - my lovely camera is having shutter probs, so I'm using my Mum's old one.)

Thanks everyone!
I don't know if anyone else indulges in this behaviour (actually, I know Rosie does) but I've been taking it around the house with me so I can admire it wherever I'm sitting!!!
