I really have problems with this plant. I have tried to water more & less and the leaves still form wrinkled. In bark in plastic pot. My humidy is very low so thinking that maybe the problem. Any ideas I can try?
Low humidity is probably it i did have one before the green house and it did the same until i got a humidifier to run esp during the winter when the heat is on . What part of the world are u in ? I am in Mo. your conditions might be a lot diff from mine .
How are the roots? Pleated (accordian like) foliage is frequently caused by not enough water - tho if the roots have rotted from over-watering the plant can not take up any water.
Do you mean that the wrinkles are not going away or that the leaves continue to grow out wrinkled? Once the wrinkles are there they don't go away. Otherwise, either it's not getting enough water, or the roots are in bad shape.

I just bought an Onc with pleated leaves. When I got it home I repotted it into s/h and all the new growths look normal so far. All the roots looked great and boy, it had LOTS of them! I also have it outside and it is VERY humid here right now.
Are you keeping your plant inside or out? Have you checked the roots yet?
If it hasn't started putting out un-pleated leaves with both more and less watering, I suspect the roots are a problem, and are no longer able to take up water.
You can get a little humidifier from walgreens or king soopers that's perfect for a small orchid area, and/or putting sphag moss on top of the media as a top dressing.
