hehe - i'm sure it's better than miracle-gro. Schultz is probably fine - I used it in a pot that was too big for my plant, as well as possibly over-watering the plant- so was probably more my fault than the mix

I have an unnamed (NoID)Miltassia...it is a spider type that was given to me from a Trader Joe's. Anyway, I live in the Midwest USA...and we have had a lot of rain this year. My plant has sent up more flower spikes than ever--about 15, and now the buds are all turning yellow as they approach opening. Moisture overheating in the flower? I have had some other 'chids do the same thing. Any comments? My plant culture has not changed.

Pretty much so. There has been a lot of sun also, with all the rain leafhoppers out the wazoo!

They basically take the oncidium culture.
Miltonias do not take very bright light but brassias do.
The mix of the two can be anywhere in between.

I wouldn't go up to cattleya light, but you can certainly experiment.

higher the light, the higher the flower count just like anything else.

I had a noid mtssa looking plant that always aborted spikes in the summer, even spring if there was unusually hot weather
