Miniature Oncidium Tolumnia Red Berry

That's really helpful, I have very similar conditions. I got the sense that mine was a bit dehydrated - I was watering only 1x per week!

I'm going to switch to an every other day routine and hopefully that will do the trick.

My worry is that I'm not giving them enough light. I had them hanging under some T8's and their leaves had a slight purplish tinge to them, but I couldn't tell if that was normal or not since they arrived in the same state. Once I moved my phals outside to enjoy the summer outdoors, I moved the Tolumnias to the windowsill, which is a SE window. I guess I'll get my answer if they bloom, right?

Sounds right to me. From what I've read, it's hard to give too much light, so a SE window sounds perfect (as long as they're right near the glass).

I've got mine in front of a 150 watt grow light and an East facing window. Unfortunately, that's the best I can do at the moment - and while I haven't had the Tol for very long, it seems happy(ish).

These are great little plants. Wish I could find them more easliy in Canada. Only have 2 (Red Barry and Popoki), wish I had 100 of them!!

I was just searching for some verification on the name of this plant as OW has it as Red Barry. Further check finds it registered with the RHS with the same grex name.

CR Orchids in BC has quite a few of them. I bought one last spring and it has 2 spikes at the moment! Also, I was at the Edmonton Orchid show last Feb. and one vendor (don't remember the name) had a lot of them. I am kicking myself for not getting one or more but I wasn't growing them at the time and didn't know much about them.

Oh yes Dino Baisi, I think he is speaking at our society this summer - I am definately going to make a substantial pre-order! Maybe it was Orchids in Our Tropics that had some - they usually do. I picked up a couple, but always seem to have trouble with them from there. Not sure why but they don't always all survive - and I can grow them.
