It will handle the heat, as long as it's not in the direct sun. I live in the Tampa area, and I keep it in medium filtered light, in my shadehouse...about the same as most Cattleyas. The heat of the summer sometimes gets my greenhouse around 100 degrees. However, I do have misters that run twice a day on timers, during the summer. They run about 5 minutes in the morning, and 5 minutes in the heat of the day (about 3pm). So I'm sure this helps keep their leaf temps down. They seem to eat it up!

Very nice. I have T. suavis and it has been suffering. Im going to try and keep it more humid now thanks to your advice. How is the scent on this one?
