I cut this spike off to help the plant saving energy. That was by Christmas Eve and yesterday it still had flowers on it!

Thanks for sharing this artistic arrangement of the flower spike. I am used to seeing photos of wild plants with white or pink flowers a friend sends me from Suriname where it appears in full bloom unexpectedly on different trees on her property.
I wish i could grow it, but was discouraged by people who tried to grow it and do not think it can grow in my house.

It is not of easy culture, Sun, I recognize. But the species must be hardy in some way because it has a large natural distribution! The thing is finding the right way to keep it for long!
