Everyone has their favorites. While I have many plants within the Oncidium alliance that I like much better than Onc Twinkle, it has certainly earned a place in my collection and, most likely, in many other collections. While the individual flowers are small and rather insignificant individually, the number of flowers and the ease of culture make this Oncidium an excellent choice.

Jerry,

My recent Onc Gold Dust looks very similar. Great looking plant.

Awesome, Jerry. For some reason, I have absolutely no luck with these charmers. Oh well.

Kim - what grows well for you and what happens to the Onc Twinkles? maybe it is too dry there?
I just got a Twinkle at trader joe's and seems ok - love the scent and the blooms alltogether that i got a small pink one from nia's on ebay.
Since I am new I am wondering what in your conditions is doing well.
Maybe you got a bad plant? soem runt?

VERY nice! My Twinkle is blooming right now but only 2 spikes. I must separate some and repot in the spring, she's getting crowded now.

I find Oncs. really easy. I find phals hard.

Jerry, Thanks for posting a photo of this delightful specimen plant. They have been sold all over the place for many years but I seldom see one so large and healthy.

My experience with these tiny oncidiums, both species and hybrids has been the same as Kim and Paul although some of the larger ones grow like weeds for me. I believe their tolerance for lower humidity in my house is not good enough to do well. I never understood why they are recommended for beginners.
