Can anyone help me narrow this down? Bought the plant at annual auction with our Orchid Society, first time bloom and no tag. The spike is approx. 36 inches long, burgundy flowers with pink markings and flowers are 1 1/2 inches accross. My wildcat is similar however has yellow markings with the burgundy. Plant is 15 " tall and p. bulbs approx 2 1/2 to 3 " accross. Thanks in advance...sorry close ups are a bit fuzzy, will have to work on my photography.

I think you're about as close as you can get with an ID. It's an oncidium intergeneric of some sort. I don't think it's a Colmanara 'Wildcat', the buds look different than the 2 I have. It is nice.

Ok, I'm an idiot sometimes. I had a fellow orchid buddy over this morning and she positively id'd this plant as a Sharry Baby. Guess I just had to wait for a few more flowers to open and give it a good sniff.

It looks a lot like my Oncidium Sweet Sixteen Prepossessing which is fragrant in the early part of the day.
